The Hardanger Fjord is just outside of Bergen, but (as most of them) it stretches quite far. We stayed at at small town called Ullensvang in a tiny house with an (another) amazing view.

The house was approx one hour from the famous Steinsdalsfossen and two hours from Vøringsfossen waterfalls. A little more than 1 hour from Bondhusvatnet (beautiful easy hike to a small picturesque lake) and relative close to ferry docks from where there are numerous cruises on the fjord. There was a small cave just behind the house and we went to swim in the fjord just below the house. The beach is a stone beach so swim shoes are definitely recommended.
