Every year we come back to this part of Denmark, as it is one of our absolute favourite places. The kids love the “Apple Festival”, and we just love the nature and that there are so many options for things to do come rain or sun.
I have made a small list of our best tips for Ebeltoft and the beautiful Mols Bjerge:
- Ocean swiming, the best beaches are the one in front of Molskroen and Fuglsø Vig.
- Molskroen for a couple of nights or just for the amazing food.
- Ebeltoft Apple Festival during the autumn vacation.
- Ebeltoft old town and the harbour area in front of the small town (go to the left, when you have the town behind you, and the harbour area here is so cute and you will find the best fish’n’chips and a small beach bar over here.
- Maltfabrikken for a rainy day and Lundbergs Spisehus (family friendly restaurant)
- Trehøje in Mols Mountains and the small trails around them
- Kalø Slotsruin i Kalø Vig is the perfekt 1/2 a day trip with a small icecream shop, farmers market just close as well as the fish smokehouse Mols Røgeri.
- A visit to the local brewery Ebeltoft Gårdbryggeri is also nice.
- Sletterhage Fyr out at the very end of Mols Mountains, Helgenæs.
- The best place for coffee is Mols Kafferisteri, they also have a small café in front of the house, where you can enjoy the coffee as well as have the best homemade pizza in town.
- Skødshoved Badehotel for amazing sunset dinners or lunch in the sun or an icecream and a visit during one of their flea market days.
