The Dragon Mountain (long shan) temple in the heart of Taipei.

The Longshan Temple is key to spiritual well-being, physical health and social life of many local residents and visitor.

It is an important Buddhist temple in the middle of Taipei serving as center of lively religious activity. It was founded in 1738 by Fujianese settlers, but rebuild many times since.

The area of the various buildings on the ground is buzzling with activity from the many visitors coming here. People were burning incense, throwing bwa bwei (divination blocks – red woodden crescent-shaped pieces), donating, kneeling & praying.
