In Tokyo there is a whole industry of kawaii (cute) cafe concepts.

Moomin, Miffy, Hello Kitty, Manga, Pompompurin they all have their own concept cafés here in Tokyo. Today we went to a concept café called Kawaii Monster Cafe and it was so much fun.

Everything in the restaurant is rainbow colored: the deco, the staff and the food. It it is a bit like Alice in Wonderland in Japanese where everything is a bit crazy, up-side-down and you have your dinner in a tea cup. The waitresses did a small performance before we had our food and the girls were totally hypnotized. Neither of us ever experienced anything like this before. A very recommended experience when in Tokyo (with or without children).
