Breath taking views everywhere you turn in the Swedish Archipelagos.

The archipelago just a few minutes from Stockholm is by far the largest (more than 30.000 islands) and most famous.

However, the archipelago north of Gothenburg stretches along the coast like a string of pearls. And is it is very much closer to Denmark than the Stockholm one. You don’t have to travel far from the city to find charming villages, stunning nature and beaches.

We went during the autumn vacation with good friends. We had rented a large summerhouse and took small trips from here around the area. Just outside of the house was amazing nature and rocks that the girls loved spending time climbing around.

We were in the tiny town of Kyrkesund in the larger area of Tjörn. We would recommend going any time of the year. We loved it so much we will definitely be back.
