The former Emperial City of Hué (pronounced Huway) was the capital of Vietnam from 1802-1945. In the centre of Hué lies the Forbidden Purple City – a UNESCO World Heritage protected sight.

The Forbidden City is a 10.000m2 area of amazing history and grandness. We spend half a day here exploring this citadel. Especially fascinated by all the beautiful poetry that is written down on all the buildings. It is definitely a recommended sight in the mid-region of Vietnam to experience.
