A small hotel inside the old city walls of Polignano a Mare.
We are staying at the Antico Mondo B&B in the old town of Polignano a Mare. Our little room is in an annex building and has a kitchenette and a balcony. It is on the small side for a family of four, however the bathroom is a nice size and we also use the outdoor space in front of our pastel blue door. We have an extra bed for Agnes and Dagmar is sleeping in the bed with Bjørn and I. Our room is on the ground floor just under the pink flower “roof”.
This area of the town is definitely the very best place to stay. The streets are tiny (no cars allowed), the restaurants are good and there is a charming and relaxed atmosphere of local life and tourism getting along hand-in-hand.
We like it here. Two days in a row we have meant to go to the beach, however there is a lot of wind these days, so the water has been too rough for the kids…and even for us. So we have been hanging out playing cards, reading books, dancing on the local square (the girls) and having lots of gelato and espressos.
