One of Sicily’s most attractive towns with both a historic centre and a seaside resort.
On the way across Sicily from Messina we pasted by Cefalu. We had considered staying in this area before we left Copenhagen, in the end we decided on Scopello instead, however Cefalu was the perfect stop-over halfway between Messina and Scopello.
The little seaside town has it all with the white sand beach on the one side and the picturesque mountains on the other. The town itself has charming small streets with souvenirs, local products and great restaurants with fresh seafood.
We could definitely understand the popularity of this place. We will have to come back to stay a little longer another time.
