Great Japanese knifes made through 11 generations.
Last time we were in Japan, we bought a beautiful knife in the kitchen district of Tokyo.
I broke it just 6 months after coming back home. So obviously we had to get a new knife to bring home this time as well.
Kyoto has all these amazing small specialized unique shops that most of the time has been pasted down from generation to generation the Artitsugu being no exception. The shop is located inside the Nishiki food market (direction below).
This shop offered to engrave our family name into the knifes, which we thought was so nice. We had the Japanese signs engraved, which made the knifes we got even more special.
