The garden is huge and full of old trees and flowers, small corners are available for privacy all around, the girls loved the one with the hammock and the veggies just behind the deck with the spa. The spa cannot be booked, but it was no trouble getting a spot for it at all. It is 40 degrees hot and the girls absolutely loved it.
The food…oh the food…was truly the best we had in a long time. The chef Scott has been working at Relæ (Copenhagen restaurant) for years, but is now fulltime at The Norrmans. And he is very talented. Everything is super simple, and super fresh, however just so tasteful and a pleasure. We loved every meal. Most of the vegetables came from the large garden just behind the villa, so it was seriously fresh and delicious.
Dinner starts every day at 7PM, so be prepared to bring a little snacks if you have small children. Our girls didn’t make it till dessert the 2 nights we stayed, however, then it is perfect that the rooms are just next to the restaurant, and they just got the key and could go to our room and hang out for some Netflix or early bed while waiting for us to finish the great 3 course dinner.
We had good weather, so we stayed outside for the most part, but for a rainy afternoon, it was also so cosy to get snacks from the bar and hang out in the cute orangeri. We also spend an hour playing petanque in the huge barn right next to the orangeri. And it was really nice to have the option to do indoor activities as well.
We heard The Norrmans just opened up a new place by the sea, and we would be very excited to try this out as well. It will be a self-catering place with up to 10 guests, just 10 minutes from the B&B, but with a beautiful sea view.
The hospitality was next level here at The Norrmans and we enjoyed every minute.
Still so amazed that this is just right outside of Copenhagen. Going by car is however recommended, since there is hardly any public transportation that makes sense in this area.

Stevns is an area just 45-50 minutes south of Copenhagen. It has much beautiful nature and spots like Faxe Limestone Quarry, Stevns Klint, Bøgeskoven and recently also Camp Adventure. Unfortunately the latter was fully booked when we tried to go, so word of advice it to book in advance on their website: https://www.campadventure.dk/en/
We will definitely try to go some other time.
Instead we went to Stevns Klint which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and (apparently) the best place in the world to see, first hand, the marks the astroid 66 million years ago left on the earth when it crashed and eliminated half of all living creatures and dinosaurs. The sight also offers a visit to the Højerup old church on the edge klint. Today it is part of the National Museum, but you can enter it for free and get the great views from the iconic balcony.

After Stevns Klint we went to the beautiful Gjorslev beech forest for lunch and a walk. This time of the year it is hypnotizing green and there are plenty of small paths to follow around the forest (see map below).
On the way back from The Norrmans B&B we went to a couple of the farm shops to get organic fresh groceries and local goodies. We went to the Klippingegård and Enghave farms – and we got so many good things like local beers, fruit, juice, salat, tomatoes and more.
