
Norway is really the land of waterfalls. In season there are waterfalls literally everywhere. Around Hardanger the two most famous must be Steindalsfossen and Vøringsfossen.
Steinsdalsfossen is located in Norheim and the special thing here, is that you can walk behind the waterfall. A small path from the parking lot takes you right up behind the waterfall.
Vøringsfossen has a free fall of 145 meters and is one of Norway’s biggest tourist attractions. And it is quite impressive to watch the Hardangervidda plateau drop to the valley below.
Tip: Don’t go to the view point in the guide books. Go to Fossli Hotel to get the most spectacular view in a safe manner.
