01.06.2016 – Dagmar 4 years old.
We arrived in Ho Chi Minh city late yesterday afternoon. We were all a bit tired from the travel, so we went for a small walk at the Ho Chi Minh Palace and walking street. The Ho Chi Minh city has 9 million people (and 6 million scooters/motorbikes), and definitely has a more cosmopolitan feel to it, than what we otherwise have experienced in Vietnam.
Today it is Dagmars birthday. Even though we have celebrated and already had presents (for both girls), we also celebrated a little more today. We woke up at 05.30 to open presents and have breakfast. 07.00 we were picked up by our guide, Bao, to go on a full day Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta tour.
It was a really long day with lots of impressions, driving and more, but when we got back, we still found the energy to head down to the Vincom Center Shopping Mall. The mall has a gigantic gaming area for kids, and since today is also the Vietnamese Children’s Day, there were free ballons handed out and all the local families were out for night out in town.
