One of the best beaches of Puglia.
Torre Guaceto is a nature reserve and protected area, so while the rest of the surrounding coastline is now home to countless bars, restaurants and hotels, this patch of sand and sea has remained blissfully free from development.
Also totally free from the normally strict organisation that the normal beaches offers (and usually costs a fortune)…
Somewhat tricky to find on the GPS. However once we got near the area there were lots of road signs to help us a long.
It was a very windy day, so only Bjørn went into the wavy water. However, we had a couple of good hours playing around, having a snack and hanging with the locals. A nice break from the city-sightseeing we had been doing all day.
