Pink dreams extravaganza.

My first visit to Sketch was more than a decade ago. Still it remains one of the most intriguing restaurant spaces in London.

Housing a tea room, lounge bar and two excellent restaurants, it’s a playful, deeply theatrical space, colourful and witty, even more so since its redesign by Turner Prize winner Martin Creed. The food is French with a twist and their drinks are amazing.

The crowd are often just as glamorous as the surroundings; dressing up is pretty much mandatory. None of this comes cheap (actually it is really expensive), but there really is nowhere else quite like it. Their pink velvet restaurant is both an Instagram and Pinterest classic by 2017 and I haven’t even mentioned the famous egg-shaped toilets.
